Guatama Buddha is the founder of the world Buddhism, and revered all over the World as an enlightened being, who rediscovered an ancient path to freedom from ignorance, craving and the cycle of rebirth and suffering. After his death he was given the name Buddha, which literally means “Enlightened one” or “Awakened one”.
